NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE

My path was shortened because of those who had paved a way before me. Survivors who shared there stories, fighters who had fought the battle led the way to options, outside the box when, options within my immediate grasp were limited.

Upon finding out my diagnosis, and assured that I was not alone,  Dr. Richard Warner at Mt. Sinai in New York would direct the way to one of the few nationally recognized centers for Neuro-Endocrine Tumors #Carcinoid. Oshner LSU Neuro Endocrine Tumor Clinic knew immediately what to do. I was not one of a few on their patient list, I would be one of many who had a plan for battle.

  1. Juliet-
Please know that you are NOT alone! While I cannot be there physically, please remember that you are being sent loving thoughts from afar.

  2. Wow! What are the chances that both loves of Andrew's life would have the same diagnosis? It is amazing that you two can support each other. I am now curios to find out about neuroendocrine tumors. Are they environmentally caused, hereditary, or just random? Thank you for sharing your story, you are helping to educate and support. Thinking of you, Juliet

  3. While walking across the plains, the mare zebra's set the pace according to the speed of the weakest member of the heard. It is for comfort and support, so that the weakest doesn't feel alone.... We will set "our" pace to yours so that you are never alone or feel vulnerable to what lays hidden in these weeds.... We don't know how long the journey to the struggle we face, but know that there is strength in numbers. So walk when you can, rest when you need, gain your strength and we WILL all run across the Serengeti with the early morning haze feeling the warmth of the sun shining on us once again!!

    Stripes
Are the stripes on the zebra black or are they white? Does it really matter? Isn't it all about their plight?
The stripes are Gods fingerprints for he has placed his hands on everything, from the king of the jungle to the smallest birds that sing.
We can't always understand why things happen the way they do, unfair and undeserving are the words that come to mind just to name a few...
As the foal zebra is recognized by its mother without a doubt, try as we may some things we just can't figure out...
Is it the black she sees or is it the white, perhaps too many questions without enough a answer to make it right,
Perhaps we all ponder on the wrong, meaningless thing... It is what's on the inside anyway that makes the heart sing!
To question God, they say you should not do, I for one do not think that is true,
To not even question what , where, when and how we exist. I personally think that you can ask him anything with a open heart, just never a closed fist.....
